Coronavirus: Just listen to the health experts, not the minister

The comments by the Health Minister, Jenny Mikakos, about Dr Chris Higgins, who has tested positive for coronavirus, were ill-informed and ill-advised. If every person with his symptoms, reported to be no fever, runny nose and slight cough – characteristics of an ordinary cold – went for testing, the health system would collapse. If every person with those symptoms self-quarantined for two weeks, the economy and society would collapse.
