Crowds of beachgoers descended on California beaches over the weekend, despite Governor Gavin Newsom’s March 20 order to shelter in place. The Governor sought to lock-down all 40 million of his state’s citizens in an effort to stem the spread of COVID-19. Officials are beginning to close parking lots near beaches in the hopes more people will take heed of the health concerns.
